Promoting Academic Excellence

Panola Charter School targets non-traditional students in grades 8-12 who  desire to acquire their education at a more advanced pace. The educational setting is a non-traditional model where students are guided through their education by caring, nurturing teachers who facilitate the learning process with Individual instruction, textbooks and computer technology using OdysseyWare by Pathway Publishers.

Individual Instruction

Students work at their own pace, concentrating on only four subject areas at a time. A four-hour session runs from 8:00am to 12:10pm.

Educational Environment

Panola Charter School operates in an environment of respect, responsibility and recognition, producing graduates who enter the local and global community with academic knowledge, marketable skills, and positive work ethics.

School Mission

The mission of Panola Charter School is to significantly reduce, if not almost completely eliminate, illiteracy and academic failure while increasing student self-worth and the number of graduates who qualify to attend college by providing the community with a student-friendly educational environment that promotes personalized, character-based, computer-integrated curriculum lead by a team of caring staff members dedicated to the success of each student under their influence.
